Fiberglass posts were installed at various fence end-of-run and corner conditions in lieu of the typical steel posts. The fiberglass posts are considered a non-structural member and generally will not provide the rigidity required from the imposed loads from wire tension and environmental forces, however, these fiberglass posts are braced by steel posts of the existing perimeter fence. The provided site photos indicate that the fiberglass posts are braced along the steel posts at several locations. Any wind-driven deflection of the fiberglass posts would only be experienced at the extreme vertical end of the post which would not impose any impact on the performance or security provided by the existing fence. The newly installed electric fence will not impose any negative effect on the structural integrity of the existing perimeter steel posts, therefore, not warranting any structural concern regarding the as-built conditions.
