The Professional Services Agreement (PSA) is for a maximum total of <br />$985,451.97. <br />Project summary statement: <br />The City of Everett is seeking professional services for the creation of a City of Everett <br />Safety Action Plan in accordance with the requirements of the US Department of <br />Transportation’s (USDOT) Safe Streets and Roads for All program. The focus of the Safety <br />Action Plan will be safety for all roadway users and reduction or elimination of roadway <br />fatalities and serious injuries. This project will help identify feasible roadway safety <br />improvement projects and strategies. The plan will collect data, develop a high-risk <br />network, provide policy solutions, and develop prioritized safety projects. It will also create <br />and execute a robust engagement plan that focuses on the community at large with <br />emphasis on underserved communities, local businesses, and neighboring governing <br />bodies. Finally, the consultant will create a final report detailing their findings, solutions, <br />and the engagement plan. <br />This Safety Action Plan will establish eligibility for future implementation grants through <br />the SS4A program. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign the Professional Services Agreement with Kimley-Horn and <br />Associates, Inc. for the Safe Streets for All Safety Action Plan in the amount of $985,451.97.
