It looks mostly fine with one sticky point that needs to be <br /> addressed by the architect. IRC Section R302.3.1 states <br /> "Dwelling units in two-family dwellings shall be separated from each other by wall and floor assemblies having not less <br /> than a 1-hour fire-resistance rating where tested in accordance with ASTM E119, UL 263 or Section 703.3 of the <br /> International Building Code." <br /> The architect attempted to provide 1-hour rated wall at the location between the two storage spaces, but the easiest <br /> way to meet the code is to provide a wall tested in accordance w/ UL or GA standard.The UL or GA number needs to be <br /> provided in addition to the drawn detail. <br /> The easiest way is to forward this email to the architect and let them communicate the information to me directly.They <br /> can re-submit the sheet 5/6 by email and I will attach it to the plan set. <br /> The structural part needs to be reviewed by one of our in-house structural engineers.
