afr <br /> ORDINANCE NO .2?-7, y <br /> An Ordinance providing for the protection of the water <br /> supply of the City of Everett from pollution, providing penalties <br /> for the violation of the provisions of this ordinance and declaring <br /> an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN : <br /> Section 1 : For the purpose of protecting the water <br /> supply of the City of Everett from pollution, it is hereby declared <br /> unlawful for any person or persons to camp, picnic, loiter, trespass, <br /> fish, hunt or otherwise be within the territory from which the city <br /> of Everett derives its water supply, being the Sultan River water <br /> shed, from and above the intake of said Everett water supply <br /> system and including the lakes, rivers , springs , creeks, streams or <br /> tributaries draining into said water supply, unless legally autho- <br /> rized to go upon said grounds or waters or unless permit to do so <br /> has first been obtained from the Health Department of the City of <br /> Everett . It is also declared unlawful for any person or persons, <br /> whether or not they are performing municipal work for the City of <br /> Everett or have been authorized to go upon the above mentioned <br /> grounds or water as above provided, to deposit within said territory <br /> above described any human excrement or other substance whatsoever <br /> deleterious to health or to commit any act whatsoever tending to <br /> pollute the water in said water shed territory. <br /> Section 2 : Any person found guilty of the violation <br /> of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined in a <br /> sum not to exceed Three Hundred ( 300.00)Dollars or imprisoned <br /> in the City Jail for a term not to exceed ninety (90) days or <br /> may be both so fined and imprisoned. <br /> -1- <br />
