City of Everett 00 7200 - 5 <br /> <br /> <br />General Conditions <br />007200-5 202082-10 May 2024 <br />pw://Carollo/Documents/WA/Everett/202082-100000/04 Design/04 Specs/Carollo/007200 (FS-100) <br /> <br />Specify: Refers to information described, shown, noted or presented in any manner in any part <br />of the Contract Documents. <br />Subcontractor: An individual or entity having a direct contract with Contractor or with any other <br />Subcontractor for the performance of a part of the Work. <br />Submittals: The information required by the Contract Documents provided by Contractor to the <br />Owner’s Representative or Owner. <br />Substantial Completion: The day on which the Owner or Owner’s Representative determines <br />the Owner has full and unrestricted use and benefit of the Project, from both the operational and <br />safety standpoints and only minor incidental Work, replacement of temporary substitute <br />facilities, or minor correction or repair Work remains. Determination of Substantial Completion in <br />whole or in part is solely at the discretion of the Owner. Substantial Completion does not mean <br />complete in accordance with the Contract nor shall Substantial Completion of all or any part of <br />the Project entitle the Contractor to Final Acceptance under the Contract. <br />Supplier: A manufacturer, fabricator, supplier, distributor, materialman, or vendor having a <br />direct contract with Contractor or with any Subcontractor to furnish materials or Equipment to be <br />incorporated in the Work. <br />Total Float: The amount of time any given activity or path of activities may be delayed before it <br />will affect the Completion Date. <br />Traffic: Both vehicular and non-vehicular traffic, such as pedestrians, bicyclists, wheelchairs, <br />and equestrian traffic. <br />Unabsorbed Overhead: The reduction or loss of contribution to recovery of the Contractor’s <br />Overhead costs realized by the result of reduced Project or Contractor billings, or both, due to <br />any reason whatsoever, including a Project extension. <br />Unit Price Work: Refers to items of Work identified by unit prices in the Bid form. <br />Work: Refers to the Project and the provision of all labor, materials, Equipment, supplies, <br />services, and other items necessary for the execution, completion and fulfillment of the <br />Contract. <br />1.2. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />The complete Contract includes the following, which are Contract Documents: <br />1. Federal and state requirements that apply to this Contract and Project; <br />2. Supplemental agreements between Owner and Contractor, if any, subsequent to the <br />Owner’s execution of the Contract and signed by the Mayor of the City of Everett for <br />Owner and by an authorized representative of Contractor <br />3. Change Orders; <br />4. Addenda; <br />5. The Contract; <br />6. Bid Form; <br />7. Specifications, including, but not limited to, these General Conditions and other <br />numbered Documents and Sections; <br />8. Supplementary Conditions, if any; <br />9. Drawings and plans; <br />10. City of Everett standard plans in effect as of the date Bids are opened;
