<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON <br />SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSAL AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR <br /> <br />Police Facilities Upgrades <br />Project # FAC 2024-0315 <br /> <br />NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS <br /> <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br />Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the Police Facilities Upgrades will be received at the office of the <br />City Clerk, 1ST Floor Everett Municipal Building, 2930 Wetmore, Everett, WA, 98201, until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />May 7, 2024. At the appointed time, all bids will be opened and read aloud publicly via live streaming, or bidders <br />may attend the bid opening in person at 2930 Wetmore Ave, Suite 9E, Everett, WA 98201 . The link to view the <br />live streaming bid opening can be found at: https://everettwa.gov/319/Procurement. <br />The engineer’s estimate for this Project is $400,000. <br /> <br />Work being performed includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to <br />perform Tenant Improvement Work at two locations commonly referred to as South Precinct and Downtown <br />Police Headquarters. Work at South Precinct includes extensive interior upgrades to two Locker Rooms, and at <br />Downtown Police Headquarters there will be targeted demolition to reconfigure several interior office spaces, <br />and reconfiguration and finish upgrades to a conference room and the Forensic Investigation Unit and <br />performing all Work as required by the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to <br />Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", <br />"Public Works", and "City of Everett". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents <br />with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and <br />a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e- <br />mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that <br />do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan <br />room for addenda issued on this project. Contact Builders Exchange of Washington at (425) 258-1303 should <br />you require assistance with access or registration. <br /> <br />All bids must be made upon the City forms provided for this purpose and must be accompanied by a bid bond <br />or certified check or cashier’s check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, <br />all as set forth in the Contract Documents. One hundred percent (100%) Payment and Performance Bonds will <br />be required of the successful Bidder to guarantee faithful performance of the contract. <br /> <br />The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. No Bidder <br />may withdraw its Bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, except as may be provided in the Contract <br />Documents. The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City. <br />The right is reserved by the City to postpone the award for a period of forty-five (45) days after bid opening. <br /> <br />The Contractor will be required to comply with all local, State, and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to <br />equal employment opportunities. <br />
