City of Everett 00 11 13 - 1 <br /> <br /> <br />00 11 13 - 1 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> <br />SECTION 00 11 13 - ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the Police Facilities Upgrade Project will be received <br />the City Clerk, Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at 2930 Wetmore Ave, Everett, <br />Washington 98201, until 2:00 p.m. on May 7, 2024. At the appointed time, all bids will be opened <br />and publicly read aloud Via live streaming only. The link to watch the bid opening will be <br />accessible from http://www.everettwa.gov/319/Procurement. If you have any questions about <br />logging into the live streaming bid opening, call 425.257.8903. <br />The Engineer’s estimate for this Project is $400,000. <br />Tenant Improvement Work will be performed at two locations commonly referred to as South <br />Precinct and Downtown Police Headquarters. Work at South Precinct includes extensive interior <br />upgrades to two Locker Rooms, and at Downtown Police Headquarters there will be targeted <br />demolition to reconfigure several interior office spaces, and reconfiguration and finish upgrades <br />to a conference room and the Forensic Investigation Unit. <br />A pre-bid walk-through is scheduled at 9:00 a.m. April 4, 2024 and at 9:00 a.m. April 11, 2024 <br />beginning at South Precinct located at 1121 SE Everett Mall Way, Everett, WA 98208 and <br />completing at Downtown Police Headquarters at 3002 Wetmore Avenue, Everett, WA 98201. <br />This walk-through is not mandatory but is highly encouraged. Any interested bidders may attend. <br />Any questions and/or answers that may affect the bid will be included in an addendum to the bid <br />documents and sent to all the planholders. <br />Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) <br />is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and <br />clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Everett". This online plan room <br />provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order <br />full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off <br />tool. It is recommended that Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification <br />of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do <br />not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the <br />on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. Contact Builders Exchange of Washington <br />at (425) 258-1303 should you require assistance with access or registration. <br />All bids must be made upon the City forms provided for this purpose and must be accompanied <br />by a bid bond or certified check or cashier’s check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) <br />of the total amount of the Bid, all in accordance with the Contract Documents. One hundred (100) <br />percent payment and performance Bonds will be required of the successful Bidder to guarantee <br />faithful performance of the contract. <br />The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. <br />No Bidder may withdraw his Bid after the hour set for the opening thereof. The City further <br />reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City. The right is <br />reserved by the City to postpone the award for a period of forty-five (45) days after bid opening.
