CHANGE ORDER # <br />Project (Procurement) Number: Small Works Roster Project Title: <br />IFQ #2024-004 Service Center 3 Reroof <br />Description of Change: <br />BUILDING/LOCATION: 3200 Cedar Street, Building #3, Everett, WA 98201 <br />This change order extends the completion date by forty-five (45) days. <br />When the contractor ordered the specified materials in the solicitation, the roofing system manufacturer <br />informed the contractor and the city that the intended application process of the roof could potentially <br />void the 20-year manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer considered the application requested by <br />the city to be non-standard. The city was unaware that the specified application process would void the <br />20-year warranty. <br />For the manufacturer to consider honoring the 20-year warranty, the contractor must request the <br />manufacturer approve a variance. This variance request must include test results verifying that the <br />specified application process. The contractor could not begin the <br />testing process until May 1, 2024. <br />After testing was completed, the results indicated that the specified process was incompatible with the <br />roofing material, risking the warranty coverage. The City of Everett and the Contractor further agree that Contract <br />time shall be adjusted to the extent shown above. This Change Order only changes the contract between the City of Everett <br />and the Contractor to the extent explicitly provided in this Change Order.
