I am the planner conducting the Planning review for this application; please note the following <br /> comments are not a thorough plan check review and they may only address larger zoning compliance <br /> points and the submittal checklist. Additional comments may be provided by the Building Reviewer for <br /> your application; please utilize the Online Permitting Portal to check on the status of other reviewers. <br /> Unfortunately, Planning cannot further review and/or approve your permit submittal until the following <br /> has been addressed: <br /> • Sign Design Correction: <br /> o Freestanding signs are required to have a protective island around the base of the sign <br /> that"shall be designed and constructed so as to provide protection at least three feet in <br /> all directions from the sign structure," per EMC 19.36.050. The plan set indicates 3ft on <br /> one side of the sign, but only 2.5ft on the side closest to the building. Please revise the <br /> design/site plan so that there is 3ft extending from both sides. <br />
