In this case, the designer may select a design number of bends for the job and use the associated equivalent length <br />from the design guide to determine the system hydraulics. <br />• It is possible that the actual installed condition of some of the flexible drops may have more bends than the designer selected. When this happens, the design <br />guide may be used to find equivalent lengths based on the actual installed number of bends for particular sprinkler installations.
