An Ordinance levying the general taxes for the City of Everett for the fiscal year commencing January,l,1924 on all • taxable property, both real and personal in said city, subject • 2 1 I to taxation therein for the purpose of raising sufficient revenue - to carry on the different departments of said city for the ensuing 3 year as required by the charter of said city and the Laws of the State of Washington, prescribing and apportioning the same into 51 6 the different funds of said. city for said fiscal year, providing II 7 I for the collection thereof and repealing all ordinances in conflict 8 therewith. Whereas, on the lot day of Oct . 1923, the 10 City Council of the City of Everett did, duly and regularly adopt 11 ! the estimate of the amounts required to meet the public expenses 12 of said city for the ensuing year and the amount to be raised by 13 !, taxation in said city for the said ensuing year from sources other SA than by direct taxation, and, 15 Whereas, notice that said City Council tentatively 16 completed the budget of the City of Everett for the year 1924 17 and that a copy of said budget would be furnished any tax payer 18 1 of the City of Everett upon application therefor and that the City 19 Council would meet in the Council room of the City Hall at 10:30 20 •M• October,1,1923 for the purpose of fixing the final budget 21 and designating the tax levies; and that any tax payer might 22 appear thereat and be heard for or against any part of said budget 23 was published in the Official newspaper of said city in all 24 respects as required by law, and, 25 Whereas, paid City Council did on said October,l, 26 1923 meet in the City Hall of said city at 10:30 A.M. for the 27 purposes a.f cresaid and having heard all persons appearing in favor 28 29 30 .«.1 - I 31 •
