This report in combination with <br /> sketches(Attachment 1)constitutes an engineered package. All details not specifically addressed shall be in <br /> accordance with 2018 IBC(Ref a)and 2018 IRC(Ref b). Wood allowable stresses are in accordance with <br /> 2018 NDS(Ref c). <br /> Decks are designed for 60 psf live load,10 psf dead load,110 mph exposure B wind and seismic zone D1 <br /> perASCE 7-16(Ref d). <br /> Beam sizing is done using StruCalc with results in Attachment 2. <br /> All joists,ledger boards,girders and columns are to be pressure treated lumber. Pressure treatment shall <br /> meetAWPA Use Category 3B. <br /> Allowable soil bearing is 1500 psf. <br /> Deck railing to be commercially available railing installed per manufacturer's instructions. All engineering for <br /> deck railing is to be provided by the manufacturer. Deck railing is to be installed per manufacturer's instructions. <br /> Deck ledger is attached to the existing rim board with two rows of FastenMaster LedgerLok screws or <br /> equal 6"oc staggered.(12"oc each row.) The deck is supported by the existing structure on two sides so <br /> lateral restraint brackets are not required at the ledger connection. <br /> The deck spans over a raised area with the deck posts and footings near the base of a 4 It high retaining <br /> wall. The deck is 13'-6"above grade at the support posts. <br /> The footings for the deck are minimum 20"x20"x12"deep as detailed in Attachment(1). <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
