The original total compensation was $90,000. Due to an increased need of services, the budget will be increased by $60,000, for a total revised compensation of $150,000. Project summary statement: The current agreement allows WDFW to provide law enforcement services around the Lake Chaplain Tract, demonstrating a visible and active presence while enforcing all Washington State and County laws/codes and City regulations set forth in Everett Municipal Code Chapter 8.64. Amendment No. 1 will increase the total compensation amount on the existing contract, set to expire December 31, 2024, for continued security inspections, investigations in relation to use of property, and escorting trespassers and rule violators off the property. Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 1 to Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement Services Contract to increase compensation in the amount of $60,000 for a total contract amount of $150,000.
