house role. They have 24/7 security that they pay for out of their bottom line, that we don't see engaging with anyone <br />beyond their front door. When issues arise the CEO and execs tell us to call the police. Please trust that we do, when it's <br />appropriate and can lead to results. We worry that calling the police on things like screaming obscenities and racial epithets <br />at 1am or for the guy who simply cant keeps his pants above his waste can be an unnecessary escalation. Their security and <br />staff are right there, with knowledge and familiarity that can result in faster, longer lasting solutions, than a call to our police <br />department who's really only able to ask people to stop what their doing or move along. <br /> <br />We need this buffer zone. We also need to build a safe community with Compass Health at the helm of providing public <br />safety, beyond their front door, if we are going to achieve a better environment. We know they receive millions from the <br />City, please continue to be involved and press hard for more accountability. <br /> <br />Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope us neighbors can be involved in brainstorming more ways the City, <br />Compass, and neighbors can create positive change in our buffer zone. <br /> <br />‐Alexis Boies <br />‐A
