ORDINANCE NO. O96 • An Ordinance providing for the improvement of llth Street from Grand Avenue to Colby Avenue. , by grubbing, 1 grading to proper grade, removal of old lumber, construction 2 of concrete walks and curbs at curb line, slagging or gravelling 3 , street, and doing all other work necessary to make a complete 4 improvement, creating an assessment district, creating a Local 5 Improvement District Fund therefor, and providing that payment 6 for said improvement be made by special assessment on the 7 property in said District under the mode of payment by bonds, 8 Whereas, a majority petition of the property owners 9 petitioning for said improvement, has heretofore been filed with 10 the Commissioner of Public Works and said Commissioner has found ii the things set forth in said petition to be true, and, 12 Whereas, said Commissioner of Public Works has 13 filed with the City Council all data and information, as required 14 by law, and, 15 Whereas, said Commissioner of Public Works has 16 recommended to the City Council that said improvement petitioned 17 for be made, and it appearing to the City Council that public 18 convenience and necessity requires such improvement to be made, 19 now therefore, 20 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES 2RDAIId : 21 22 Section 1 : That llth Street from Grand Avenue 23 to Colby Avenue be improved by grubbing, grading to proper grade, 24 removal of old lumber, construction of concrete walks and curbs 25 at curb line, slagging or gravelling street, and doing all other 26 work necessary to make a complete improvement according to the 27 plans and specifications prepared under the direction of the 28 City Engineer,which plans and specifications are hereby adopted 29 and approved. 30 31 _1.
