RESOLUTION NO. 8051 A RESOLUTION Declaring Certain Timber Surplus and Authorizing a Call for Bids for the Russula Commercial Thin Timber Sale WHEREAS, A. EMC 3.72.010 states that the Utilities Division of the Public Works Department will prepare sales of timber on City utility property. EMC 3.72.020 provides procedure for timber sales: Council shall by resolution authorize the call for bids, notice of which shall be advertised once a week for three consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the city and elsewhere as determined by the administration. The last publication shall be at least twenty but not more than thirty days before the date of bid opening. The notice shall describe the property on which the timber is located and state the time and place at which it will be sold or offered for sale, the terms of sale, fix the conditions thereof and shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids. B. The Utility Division of the Public Works Department in accordance with chapter 3.72 EMC, the applicable management plans and other requirements in the Chaplain Tract, has prepared the Russula Commercial Thin Timber Sale. This timber sale is for certain timber in approximately 312 acres generally near T-1200 Road and T-1000 Road, in parts of Sections 26 and 35, Township 29 North, Range 07 East, and Section 31 of Township 29 North, Range 08 East, all W.M., in Snohomish County, Washington. The timber to be sold will be more specifically described in the Timber Notice of Sale. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: The timber in the Russula Commercial Thin Timber Sale as described in its Notice of Timber Sale is declared surplus and a call for bids is authorized for the Russula Commercial Thin Timber Sale. _________________________________________ Councilmember introducing resolution Passed and approved this 24th day of July, 2024. ______________________________________ Council President elizabeth vogeli
