July 31, 2024 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., July 31, 2024, by <br />President Schwab. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Zarlingo, Vogeli, Fosse, <br />Tuohy, Rhyne, Bader, and President Schwab were present. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo recited the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br />The minutes of the July 24, 2024, meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin attended the opening of the new playground at the Phil Johnson Ballfields and <br />welcomed the USA Softball Western Nationals last week at Funko Field. Mayor congratulated <br />Chairwoman Teri Gobin for an outstanding State of Tulalip Tribes last weekend and attended the <br />Bezos Academy’s first pre-school graduation. <br /> <br />She continued to provided information on upcoming National Night Out neighborhood events <br />and election day on Tuesday, August 6th. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Council received one (1) written comment and there were no members of the public who spoke. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo attended a neighborhood meeting last week that focused on public <br />safety and block watch neighborhood activities and plans to attend National Night Out next week. <br /> <br />Council Member Fosse stated the Mother of All Garage Sales is schedule for August 3rd. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne attended the last two Proposition 1 information sessions and encouraged <br />the public to visit the City’s website if they missed a session, as election day is next Tuesday, <br />August 6th. <br /> <br />President Schwab attended the opening of the new playground at the Phil Johnson Ballfields.
