August 14, 2024 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., August 14, 2024, <br />by Vice President Zarlingo. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Council Members Zarlingo, Vogeli, Fosse, Tuohy, Rhyne, Bader, <br />and President Schwab were present. Mayor Franklin was excused. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne recited the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br />The minutes of the August 7, 2024, meeting were approved. <br /> <br />The minutes of the August 6, 2024, special meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin was excused. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Council received no written comments and the following member of the public spoke: Timothy <br />Whetstine. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Council Member Vogeli attended the Built Environment Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Fosse provided clarification on the motion made last week regarding the <br />independent budget analyst consultant for council support, and that there will be cap for that <br />expense. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader stated that the HOV lane northbound I-5 is now open at Steamboat <br />Slough. <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo attended the Built Environment Committee meeting. <br />
