INTRODUCTION <br />This Operations and Maintenance Schedule is intended to provide guidance with respect to the amended soil <br />contained on the CHC admin building site. <br />1. Post Construction Soil Quality and Depth <br />it is the responsibility of the homeowners to ensure that all amended soil on the property is maintained by <br />personnel that follow the recommendations within this manual. <br />At the end of this manual is an example of a maintenance activity log. This log, or one similar, should be filled out <br />any time maintenance is performed. The log must be kept on -site in a location that is accessible to City of Everett <br />for inspection. <br />FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION OF UNITS <br />Post Construction Soil: <br />These units are located throughout the site in landscaped areas where there is mulching and various plants. <br />The purpose of these units is for stormwater to infiltrate the amended soil depth and decrease flows offsite. <br />Failure to maintain these areas will result in stormwater water run-off and increased site flows to the <br />municipal system. <br />OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE <br />BMP T5.13: Post -Construction Soil Quality and Depth is proposed and shall be maintained as according to the <br />SWMMWW: <br />• Establish soil quality and depth toward the end of construction and once established, protect from <br />compaction, such as from large machinery use, and from erosion. <br />• Plant vegetation and mulch the amended soil area after installation. <br />• Leave plant debris or its equivalent on the soil surface to replenish organic matter. <br />• Reduce and adjust, where possible, the use of irrigation, fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides, rather <br />than continuing to implement formerly established practices. <br />GENERAL INFORMATION <br />• The homeowners should become familiar with this manual and educate the appropriate personnel on the <br />requirements. <br />• Inspection/maintenance items listed in this manual require different degrees of handling. The following <br />general outline is offered to assist in setting up a program: <br />1. Items that should be accomplished by the homeowner: <br />a. General site inspection of units <br />2. Items that should be accomplished by maintenance or contractor personnel: <br />a. Landscaping, mulching, and the use of fertilizers. <br />
