Lids for the vaults shall be 23-2436P, 44-332P and 55-332P, <br />3 respectively and shall be slip-resistant. <br />4 <br />5 All junction boxes and vaults placed in sidewalk or pedestrian path shall meet a gap <br />6 acceptance requirement of no more than ‰ wide with greater than … deep <br />7 depression. Any junction boxes or vaults that do not meet the gap acceptance <br />8 requirement will be rejected. <br />9 <br />10 Concrete Junction Boxes <br />11 <br />12 Slip-resistant treatment on vaults, slip-resistant lid, and slip-resistant frame shall be <br />13 treated with Mebac#1 as manufactured by IKG industries, or SlipNOT Grade 3-coarse <br />14 as manufactured by W.S. Molnar Co, or SafTrax TH604 by Thermion, Inc. Where the <br />15 exposed portion of the frame is ‰ inch wide or less the slip-resistant treatment may <br />16 be omitted on that portion of the frame. The slip-resistant lid shall be identified with <br />17 permanent marking on the underside indicating the type of surface treatment (M1 <br />18 for Mebac#1; or S3 for SlipNOT Grade 3-coarse, or TH for Thermion) and the year <br />19 manufactured. The permanent marking shall be c= inch line thickness formed with a <br />20 mild steel weld bead. <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 CNH 8-20.2(9-29.2(4)) COVER MARKINGS.RTF <br />25 Cover Markings <br />26 Section 9-29.2(4) is supplemented with the following: <br />27 <br />28 Junction Box Identification <br />29 Junction boxes, pull boxes and cable vaults shall be marked with the appropriate <br />30 legend in accordance with the bead weld details in the Standard Plans and per <br />31 9-29.2(4). Junction boxes, pull boxes and cable vaults containing only Traffic <br />32 Signal Interconnect (fiber optic or twisted pair) cable shall be marked or <br />33 embossed with the legend COMM. <br />34 <br />35 <br />36 CNH 8-20.2(9-29.6).OPT 5 SIGNAL STANDARDS.RTF <br />37 Traffic Signal Standards <br />38 Traffic signal standards shall be furnished and installed in accordance with the <br />39 methods and materials noted in the applicable Standard Plans, pre-approved plans, <br />40 or special design plans. <br />41 <br />42 All welds shall comply with the latest AASHTO Standard Specifications for Structural <br />43 Supports for Highway Signs, Luminaires and Traffic Signals. Welding inspection shall <br />44 comply with Section 6-03.3(25)A Welding Inspection. <br />45 <br />46 Hardened washers shall be used with all signal arm connecting bolts instead of <br />47 lockwashers. All signal arm ASTM A 325 connecting bolts tightening shall comply <br />48 with Section 6-03.3(33). <br />49 <br />50 Traffic signal standard types and applicable characteristics are as follows: <br />51
