Sheet 1 and 2 of 2 <br />29 <br />30 The luminaire arm shall be Type 1, 16 foot maximum and the <br />31 luminaire mounting height shall be 40 feet or 50 feet as noted in <br />32 the plans. <br />33 <br />34 Type SD Type SD standards require special design. All special design shall <br />35 be based on the latest AASHTO Standard Specifications for <br />36 Structural Supports for Highway Signs, Luminaires and Traffic <br />37 Signals and pre-approved plans and as follows: <br />38 <br />39 1. A 115 mph wind loading shall be used. <br />40 <br />41 2. The Mean Recurrence Interval shall be 1700 years. <br />42 <br />43 3. Fatigue category shall be III. <br />44 <br />45 Complete calculations for structural design, including anchor bolt <br />46 details, shall be prepared by a Professional Engineer, licensed <br />47 under Title 18 RCW, State of Washington, in the branch of Civil or <br />48 Structural Engineering or by an individual holding valid registration <br />49 in another state as a civil or structural Engineer. <br />50 <br />51 All shop drawings and the cover page of all calculation submittals <br />52 shall carry the Professional Engineer’s original signature, date of
