CITY OF EVERETT WEST MARINE VIEW DRIVE/ALVERSON AND 41 ST ST/GRAND AVE <br />PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS <br />STATE FUND# HLP-PB15(032) <br />WO #3630 July 25, 2024 <br />108 <br />1 <br />2 A pole adaptor, from the pushbutton station manufacturer, shall be utilized when a <br />3 pole adaptor is required. <br />4 <br />5 Each pedestrian signal pushbutton station shall include one pedestrian signal head <br />6 control unit, mountable in the associated pedestrian signal display enclosure. For 3- <br />7 wire systems, 4-wire cable shall be installed between the button and control unit so <br />8 that the system is backwards compatible with older models. <br />9 <br />10 All manufacturer recommended setup equipment, required to program, adjust and <br />11 make operational the pedestrian pushbutton stations, shall be furnished with each <br />12 complete pushbutton system. <br />13 <br />14 The pedestrian pushbutton station shall be able to be programmed by laptop software <br />15 wireless remote configurator that allows the selection of options and programmable <br />16 messages. <br />17 <br />18 All pedestrian pushbutton station equipment shall be the same make or model from <br />19 one manufacturer. Each station shall be latest model, capable of wireless <br />20 communication for programming and data collection from a remote location. <br />21 <br />22 The contractor shall coordinate with the City of Everett Traffic Office through the <br />23 Engineer for site specific message following installation. <br />24 <br />25 Polara Navigator Accessible Pedestrian stations are an approved model. <br />26 <br />27 CNH 8-20.2(9-29.20) PEDESTRIAN SIGNALS.RTF <br />28 Pedestrian Signals <br />29 Section 9-29.20 is supplemented with the following: <br />30 <br />31 All pedestrian signal displays shall be the countdown type signal display as follows <br />32 and from the following manufacturer: <br />33 <br />34 Model: 430-6479-001X <br />35 <br />36 Manufacturer: Dialight Corp. <br />37 1501 Route 34 South <br />38 Farmingdale, NJ 07727 <br />39 http://www.dialight.com/ <br />40 <br />41 Pedestrian signals shall be the countdown LED type and in conformance with Section <br />42 9-29.20(1) of the Standard Specifications. Mounting type shall be as indicated in the <br />43 plans. <br />44 <br />45 The LED pedestrian traffic signal shall conform to all applicable ITE requirements and <br />46 be combination person/hand in side-by-side configuration. Both person and hand <br />47 symbols shall be filled in and not outlined with the LEDs. Colors shall be Portland <br />48 orange for the hand and lunar white for the person. <br />49 <br />50 Countdown digits shall be MUTCD compliant, and the pedestrian signal countdown <br />51 feature shall adjust automatically to controller internal changes and store the <br />52 countdown time internally when power is removed.
