Delivery shall <br />14 occur during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. <br />15 <br />16 Equipment damaged during removal or delivery shall be repaired or replaced to the <br />17 Engineer’s satisfaction at no cost to the Contracting Agency. <br />18 <br />19 The Contractor shall be responsible for unloading the equipment where directed by <br />20 the Engineer at the delivery site. <br />21 <br />22 Contractor Owned Removals <br />23 All removals associated with an electrical system, which are not designated to remain <br />24 the property of the Contracting Agency, shall become the property of the Contractor <br />25 and shall be removed from the project. All concrete signal poles, luminaires, and <br />26 other equipment not listed above shall be the property of the contractor and removed <br />27 from the project. <br />28 <br />29 The Contractor shall: <br />30 <br />31 Remove all wires for discontinued circuits from the conduit system. <br />32 <br />33 Remove elbow sections of abandoned conduit entering junction boxes. <br />34 <br />35 Abandoned conduit encountered during excavation shall be removed to the nearest <br />36 outlets or as directed by the Engineer. <br />37 <br />38 Remove foundations entirely, unless the Plans state otherwise. <br />39 <br />40 Backfill voids created by removal of foundations and junction boxes. Backfilling and <br />41 compaction shall be performed in accordance with Section 2-09.3(1)E. <br />42 <br />43 <br />44 COE 8-20.3(3) Removing & Replacing Improvements.RTF <br />45 8-20.3(3) Removing and Replacing Improvements <br />46 <br />47 The installation of underground signal components such as conduits, junction boxes, <br />48 signal pole foundations, controller foundations, or service pedestal foundations shall <br />49 require the removal and replacement of certain improvements such as traffic signal <br />50 poles, signal controllers, span wires, signal heads, junction boxes, and other <br />51 miscellaneous signal equipment.
