All Minor Change work will be within the scope of the Contract Work <br />3 and will not change Contract Time. <br />4 <br />5 F1-04.6.docx <br />6 1-04.6 Variation in Estimated Quantities <br />7 (May 25, 2006 APWA GSP; may not be used on FHWA-funded projects) <br />8 <br />9 Supplement this section with the following: <br />10 <br />11 The quantities for ***Seeding, Fertilizing and Mulching, Sod Installation, and Topsoil Type <br />12 C*** have been entered into the Proposal only to provide a common proposal for bidders. <br />13 Actual quantities will be determined in the field as the work progresses, and will be paid at <br />14 the original bid price, regardless of final quantity. These bid items shall not be subject to <br />15 the provisions of 1-04.6 of the Standard Specifications. <br />16 <br />17 1-05.GR1 <br />18 Control of Work <br />19 <br />20 1-05.4.GR1 <br />21 Conformity with and Deviations from Plans and Stakes <br />22 <br />23 1-05.4.INST1.GR1 <br />24 Section 1-05.4 is supplemented with the following: <br />25 <br />26 1-05.4.OPT2.GR1 <br />27 (January 13, 2021) <br />28 Contractor Surveying - Roadway <br />29 The Contracting Agency has provided primary survey control in the Plans. <br />30 <br />31 The Contractor shall be responsible for setting, maintaining, and resetting all alignment <br />32 stakes, slope stakes, and grades necessary for the construction of the roadbed, drainage, <br />33 surfacing, paving, channelization and pavement marking, illumination and signals, <br />34 guardrails and barriers, and signing. Except for the survey control data to be furnished by <br />35 the Contracting Agency, calculations, surveying, and measuring required for setting and <br />36 maintaining the necessary lines and grades shall be the Contractor’s responsibility. <br />37 <br />38 The Contractor shall inform the Engineer when monuments are discovered that were not <br />39 identified in the Plans and construction activity may disturb or damage the monuments. <br />40 All monuments noted on the plans DO NOT DISTURB shall be protected throughout the <br />41 length of the project or be replaced at the Contractors expense. <br />42 <br />43 Detailed survey records shall be maintained, including a description of the work performed <br />44 on each shift, the methods utilized, and the control points used. The record shall be <br />45 adequate to allow the survey to be reproduced. A copy of each day’s record shall be <br />46 provided to the Engineer within three working days after the end of the shift. <br />47 <br />48 The meaning of words and terms used in this provision shall be as listed in "Definitions of <br />49 Surveying and Associated Terms" current edition, published by the American Congress <br />50 on Surveying and Mapping and the American Society of Civil Engineers. <br />51
