October 2, 2024 <br />1 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., October 2, 2024, <br />by President Schwab. <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Fosse, Rhyne, Schwab, <br />Vogeli, Zarlingo, and Tuohy were present. Council Member Bader was excused. <br />Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Vogeli recited the land acknowledgement. <br />The minutes of the September 25, 2024, meeting were approved. <br />MAYOR <br />Mayor Franklin stated she is excited for the briefing on the housing grant on the agenda this <br />evening. She also stated she issued a proclamation acknowledging October 5th in celebration of <br />the Everett Elks. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Council received two (2) written comments and the following members of the public spoke: Leo <br />Lorge and Alan Miller. <br />COUNCIL <br />Council Member Zarlingo commented on his attendance at the Silverlake neighborhood meeting. <br />Council Member Vogeli commented on her attendance at the Alliance for Housing Affordability <br />meeting and addressed traffic concerns raised by a public commenter. She also requested <br />additional information regarding consent item number 4. <br />Council Member Rhyne commented on her attendance at the Summit Everett climbing wall <br />opening. She also provided an overview from the Health and Human Services Committee <br />meeting. <br />President Schwab provided an update from the Multiuse Facility Fiscal Advisory Committee.
