♦ r ORDIrArCE NO . 1990 An Ordinance fixing the salaries and compensation to be paid to the several officers of the City of Eve :,ett and their assistants and the employees of said city, repealing Ordinances No . 1866, 1906, 1949 1974 and 1986 and also all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith. THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES. ORDAIN :- Section 1 : That from and after the first day of August , 1921 the salaries and compensation to be paid to the officers and employees of the City of Everett herein named shall be as in this ordinance provided. Section 2 : City Hall Janitor, $115.00 per nonth. Section 3 : City Attorney, $185.00 per month ; Assistant City Attorney $105.00 per month ; in addition to his salary the City Attorney shall be allowed the sum of C20.00 per month as office rent . Section 4 : City Clerk, $175.00 per month; deputy pity clerk, $135.00 per month ; s t enograrhe r $100.00 per month. Section 5 : City Treasurer, $175.00 per month; deputy City Treas- urer $135.00 per month ;assistant Deputy City Treasurer $115.00 per month ; stenographer $100.00 per month. Section 6 : Po1 is e Department ; Captain, $145.00 per month ; ser- geants $135.00 per month ; detectives, $135.00 per month ; motorcycle men.$135.00 per month; patrolmen, first class $130.00 per month ; ordinary patrolmen $125.00 per month ; patrol driver $120.00 per month; clerk, $100.00 per month ; woman protective officer $130,00 per month ; Y. W. C. A. Special $$25.00 per month ; auto repair man , $10.00 per month. Section 7 : Health Department; Health Officer, $120.00 per month Deputy health officers, $125.00 per month; milk and rood inspector, $155.00 per month.
