All questions shall be routed through this project's Public Works
Reviewer Andrew Huang with City of Everett Permit Services (AHuangc@everettwa.gov).
#
Document
Sht/Pg
Reviewer's Comment
Designer's Response
Initials
1
Site Plan
1 of 1
The existing driveway at the right of way appears to exceed
the 30 ft max allowed by the Everett Municipal Code
13.16.060.A. This must be reduced to meet the 30 ft code
requirement, so adding a demolition plan is suggested.
The driveway servicing the minimum required parking spaces
must be paved. The Everett Municipal Code 19.34.120.B
discusses hard surfaces, and our Public Works director's
interpretation is an all-weather durable surface capable of
supporting vehicular loading and the ability to not track
dirt/mud/debris onto the roadway. Typically this is concrete,
but we can also allow it to be a construction entrance rock
with geotextile fabric below, and rock size of around 1-1/4"
(but not gravel).
https://www.codepublishing.com/WA/Everett/#!/Everettl9/
Everett1934.html#19.34
Driveways for additional garages can be gravel if desired.
Please clarify which garage(s) will be for the min required
parking spaces.
Label existing & new hard surface areas (such as driveways,
new garage roof, etc.) and paving materials. Note that per
COE DCSS 2-2, if more than 2000 sq ft of new hard surfaces
are added, a SWPPP will be required.
https://everettwa.gov/1 531/Desig n-Co nstructio n-Standards
Page 2 of 2
