tickets should alleviate some of the downtown parking problems and will further alleviate <br /> similar problems in other parts of the City; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> SECTION 1: Section 20 of Ordinance No. 2180-96 (EMC 46.28.200) which reads as <br /> follows: <br /> EMC 46.28.200 Time zones. <br /> A. No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle in a parking space beyond the time <br /> permitted by official signs. <br /> B. No person shall repark a vehicle within the same block on either side of the street <br /> where parking spaces have time limits imposed. For purposes of this section, a vehicle <br /> shall be deemed to be reparked and in violation of this section despite any movement of <br /> the vehicle unless the vehicle is moved sufficiently to pass through or across a street <br /> intersection. <br /> Be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> A. No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle in a parking space beyond the time <br /> permitted by official signs. <br /> B. No person shall repark a vehicle within the same block on either side of the street <br /> where parking spaces have time limits imposed. For purposes of this section, a vehicle <br /> shall be deemed to be reparked and in violation of this section despite any movement of <br /> the vehicle unless the vehicle is moved sufficiently to pass through or across a street <br /> intersection. No person shall move and repark a parked vehicle within the Central <br /> Business District in order to avoid a parking time limit regulation. Provided, however, it <br /> shall not constitute a violation of this subsection if the vehicle is moved and reparked for <br /> the primary purpose of immediate shopping or the immediate securing of such other <br /> service within the Central Business District. <br /> For purposes of this subsection, the Central Business District is the area bounded on both <br /> sides of the street by Pacific Avenue to the South, Twenty Fifth Street to the North, <br /> Broadway to the East and Rucker Avenue to the West. <br /> Section 2: Section 27 of Ordinance No. 2180-96 (EMC 46.28.270(E)) which reads as <br /> follows: <br /> A. Unless specifically set forth elsewhere in this chapter, the penalties for each <br /> violation of the provisions of this chapter shall be: <br /> 2 <br />
