<br /> <br />Surety The company or association which is bound with and for <br />the Contractor for the acceptable performance of the <br />Contract and for its payment of all obligations arising out <br />of the Contract <br />Titles or Headings The titles or headings of the sections, divisions, parts, <br />articles, paragraphs, or subparagraphs of the <br />specifications are intended only for convenience of <br />reference and shall not be considered as having any <br />bearing on the interpretation of the text. <br />Unit Prices The price published in the Construction Task Catalog® for a <br />specific construction or construction related work task. Unit <br />Prices for new Prepriced Tasks can be established during the <br />course of the Contract and added to the Construction Task <br />Catalog(s)®. Each Unit Price is comprised of labor, equipment, <br />and material costs to accomplish that specific Prepriced Task. <br />Work The entire completed project or the various separately <br />identifiable parts required to be furnished in accordance <br />with the Contract Documents. Work is the result of <br />performing services, furnishing labor, and furnishing and <br />incorporating materials and equipment into the project, <br />all as required by the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />1.1.1 Job Order Contracting Specific Definition of Terms: <br />Adjustment Factor A competitively bid adjustment to be applied to the unit prices <br />listed in the Construction Task Catalog®. Also known as a <br />“coefficient.” <br />Base Term The initial period of the Contract and does not include any Option <br />Terms. <br />Construction Task Catalog® A comprehensive listing of construction related tasks together <br />with a specific unit of measure and a published Unit Price. <br />Detailed Scope of Work A document setting forth the work the Contractor is obligated to <br />complete for a particular Job Order. <br />Estimated Annual Value An estimate of the value that could be issued to the Contractor each <br />year. <br />Job Order A written order issued by the City, such as a Purchase Order, <br />requiring the Contractor to complete the Detailed Scope of Work <br />within the Job Order Completion Time for the Job Order Price.
