From: Jay Chennault<jchennault@aesgeo.com>
Sent: Tuesday, March 30, 2021 5:39 PM
To: Mark Harrison
Cc: Tom Hood;Arnie Roshak;Thad Newport; Kurt Merriman;Tony Romanick
Subject: RE: Emma Yule Park Surface Water Review
I just left you a voicemail. Feel free to call me anytime on my cell.
Regarding the setback, I'll talk to our geotech on the project but I am not overly concerned with the
location of the stormwater infiltration facility. The base elevation does appear to be well below the
footings of the YMCA building. If our infiltration testing data from IT-4 was used as the basis for design, I
would recommend AESI be on site to confirm that the on-site soils encountered during construction are
consistent with what we saw at IT-4. I would also consider installing a pit drain (like those installed at
the YMCA facilities)to help the vertical infiltration past potential silty interbeds that we observed in
some of the explorations out there.
Regarding the slope stability analysis,we just modeled groundwater mounding and slope stability based
on infiltration at the YMCA, not the park.
Thank you,
Jay Chennault, L.G., L.Hg., P.E. I'd like to get
some info from you pertaining to the new park that we're developing immediately adjacent to, and
south of,the Everett(SnoCo)YMCA. I have attached your infiltration report for the YMCA as well as the
most current drawing of the park site.
