<br />6.9 Laws and Regulations <br />6.9.1 Contractor shall give all notices and comply with all laws, ordinances, rules and <br />regulations applicable to the Work. If Contractor observes that the Specifications <br />or Drawings are at variance therewith, Contractor shall give Project Manager <br />prompt written notice thereof, and any necessary changes shall be adjusted by <br />an appropriate modification. If Contractor performs any Work knowing or having <br />reason to know that it is contrary to such laws, ordinances, rules and regulations, <br />and without such notice to Project Manager, Contractor shall bear all costs <br />arising therefrom; however, it shall not be Contractor's primary responsibility to <br />make certain that the Detailed Scope of Work, Specifications and Drawings are in <br />accordance with such laws, ordinances, rules and regulations. <br />6.10 Taxes <br />6.10.1 Contractor shall pay all sales, consumer, use and other similar taxes required to <br />be paid in accordance with the law of the State of Washington. All taxes are <br />considered to be included in the Adjustment Factors. <br />6.11 Use of Premises <br />6.11.1 Contractor shall confine equipment, the storage of materials and equipment <br />and the operations of workmen to areas permitted by the City, and shall not <br />unreasonably encumber the premises with equipment or other materials or <br />equipment. <br />6.11.2 During the progress of the Work, Contractor shall keep the premises free from <br />accumulations of waste materials, rubbish and other debris resulting from the <br />Work. At the completion of the Work, Contractor will remove all waste <br />materials, rubbish and debris from and about the premises as well as all tools, <br />appliances, equipment and machinery, and surplus materials. Contractor will <br />leave the site clean and ready for occupancy by City and restore to original <br />condition any portions of the site not designated for alteration by the Detailed <br />Scope of Work. <br />6.11.3 Contractor will not load nor permit any part of any structure to be loaded in <br />any manner that will endanger the structure, nor will Contractor subject any <br />part of the Work or adjacent property to stresses or pressures that will <br />endanger it. <br />6.12 Record Documents <br />6.12.1 Contractor shall keep one (1) record copy of all Specifications, Drawings, <br />Addenda, modifications, Shop Drawings and samples at the site, in good order <br />and annotated to show all changes made during the construction process. These <br />will be available to Project Manager and Contract Administrator for examination <br />and shall be delivered to Project Manager for City upon completion of the Work <br />before final payment is made. <br />6.13 Safety and Protection
