Please review and respond to the <br /> comments below. <br /> NON-STRUCTURAL <br /> 1. The submitted documents do not include a clear description of the existing roof system that is to <br /> be removed. The submitted documentation should include additional information as needed to <br /> clarify the work, including but not limited to a description of the roof system to be removed. <br /> Structural modifications may also be required per the structural comments below.See IBC Section <br /> 107.2.1. <br /> 2. The description of work in the permit application indicates that layers of ISO insulation will be <br /> installed. If the existing insulation is removed from above the roof deck the building is required to <br /> be insulated to comply with current energy code requirements. See IEBC Section 708.1 and WSEC <br /> Section C503.3.1 <br /> STRUCTURAL <br /> 1. The project may include structural work. Sealed and signed drawings and calculations prepared <br /> by a professional engineer licensed in the state of Washington per RCW 18.43.010, 18.43.020,and <br /> 18.43.070. See IBC Section 107.1 and additional comment below. <br /> 2. The existing structure is required to comply with IEBC Section 706.1 and 706.2 for support of the <br /> new roofing loads.
