Exhibit A
Imagine Children’s Museum – Everett Transit
Education Program Plan 2025 - 2027
Goals
Imagine Children’s Museum proposes to offer a suite of engaging learning opportunities to schools and
families within Everett Transit’s service area. The goals of this education program are to:
•Raise awareness of the mass transit services available in Everett (with emphasis on the Everett
Transit system and Everett Station transit hub)
•Inform children and families of the practical benefits of using Everett Transit for their local
transportation needs
•Offer local classroom teachers ways to bring transit learning opportunities to their students that
help to meet their students’ learning goals
•Provide children with playful learning opportunities that will build positive experiences around
using transit
•Promote “Youth Ride Free” or other applicable, active transit programs so that youth and
families are fully aware of Everett Transit and other local public transportation as an affordable
transit option
Program Components
To meet these goals, Imagine offers the following program components:
1)Everett Transit Bus Exhibit at the Museum: All visitors to the Museum have the opportunity to
sit behind the wheel of our Bus Exhibit. The steering wheel and realistic controls give children a
playful positive experience centered around being on the bus. Everett Transit’s logo and bus
schedules provided in the exhibit educate visitors on the place of Everett Transit in the
community.
2)Transit program during Community Access Nights at the Museum: Visitors to the Museum’s
Community Access Nights have the opportunity to ride an Everett Transit bus to and from
Everett Station. During the bus ride and the short walking tour of the station, children and
families learn practical information about riding the bus, as well as the role of Everett Station in
the region’s transit system.
3)Transit On-the-Go classroom program: In this one-hour classroom program led by an Imagine
educator, students learn practical skills such as reading a bus schedule and determining the best
