1 QRDIrArcE 1To._ 1955___ <br /> 2 <br /> h Ordinance relating to the handling and transpor- <br /> 3 <br /> tation of explosives within the City of :]verett, amending <br /> 4 <br /> Section 2 of Ordinance No .1494 as amended by Ordinance <br /> 5 <br /> No. 18o7 and declaring an emergency. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 <br /> CITY OF EV ER..FTT DOES ORDAIN : <br /> 8 <br /> Section 1 : That section 2 of Ordinance Nol494 as <br /> 9 <br /> amended by Ordinance aro .1867 be amended to read as follows : <br /> 10 <br /> 11 " Section 2 : It shall be unlawful for any person, <br /> 12 firm, or corporation to transport, carry or convey on any <br /> 13 vehicle or by any means of transportation within the City <br /> 14 of 'Sverett more than one of the following named high explo- <br /> 15 sives at any one time, to-wit : dynamite, dynamite caps, <br /> 16 <br /> fulminate of mercury, nitro glycerine or other high explo- <br /> 17 sives or detonating agents ; and it shall be unlawful for <br /> 18 any person, firm or corporation ration desiring to manufacture, <br /> 19 transport , sell, use, care for, keep or give away, high <br /> 20 explosives and inflamables or other substances of like <br /> 21 nature or any materials, compounds, combinations or things <br /> 22 whatsoever which may tend to increase fire hazard, within <br /> 23 the limits of the City of Everett without first having made <br /> 24 application in writing to the Commissioner of Safety and <br /> 25 obtained a license or permit so to do. In all applications <br /> 26 for permits to transort , explosives within the City of <br /> 27 'verett , the applicant shall state the points to and from <br /> 28 which it is proposed to transport said explosives and no <br /> 29 explosives shall be transported within the City of " verett <br /> 30 whatsoever unless they are placarded with a board sign , with <br /> 31 <br /> -1 - <br />
