Private Detective Agencies, and the occupation of mer- chant ' s patrol policemen and private detectives within the City of 4 Everett and the employxnent of merchant ' s patrol policemen and pri- 5 6 vate detectives to carry on said occupation, within the City of 7 Everett, providing a license for the carrying on of said business 8 or occupation and fixing a penalty for the violation thereof . 9 TM CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 10 " Secti n 1: It shall be unlawful for any person, corporation, 11 12 associatio , co-partnership or any other organization of any kind 13 to act as or carry on the business of Merchant ' s Patrol As„scy QP - - 14 Private Detective Agency, or the occupation of merchant 's patrol 15 policeman or private detective within the limits of the City of 16 Everett without first having made application therefor to the Comm- 17 issioner of Safety and by him approved, and obtained a license 18 from the City Clerk of the City of Everett for the carrying on of 19 said business or said occupation, or acting as such merchant 's patrol 0 1 20 policeman or private detective. 21 Section 2: It shall be unlawful for any person, corporation, 22 association, co-partnership or any other organization of any kind 23 to employ or cause to be employed any merchant ' s patrol policeman 24 or private detective, or any other person or persons to act as such 25 within the limits of the City of Everett who has not first made 26 application and obtained a license as provided in Section 1 of this 27 Ordinance to carry on such business or occupation. 28 29 Section 3 ; It shall be unlawful for any person, corporation, 30 association, co-partnership or any other organization of any kind 31 to carry on the business of merchant ' s patrol agency or private -1-
