Please review and respond to the comments below. <br /> STRUCTURAL <br /> 1. Gravity framing calculations have been provided, but have not been <br /> reviewed or stamped by a licensed engineer in the State of Washington. <br /> Stamping of structural system shown on the drawings and accompanying <br /> permit calculations apply to lateral design as indicated in the engineer's permit <br /> calculations. Use of gravity framing not containing references to the <br /> prescriptive framing tables and schedules listed in the IRC 2015 for floor and <br /> roof framing on single-family homes are considered engineered design. If a <br /> non-engineered design is to be used in lieu of engineered design, please <br /> provide references to IRC tables with explicit indications to applied loads on the <br /> selected beams,joists, posts, walls, and hardware that are shown on the plans. <br /> See IBC Chapter 16 and IRC 301.1.1 and 301.1.3. <br /> 2. On Building Section A of Sheet 3, it appears that a custom roof framing <br /> system with collar ties are being provided. The section also shows that a pre- <br /> PERMIT SERVICES fabricated cantilevered roof truss is being provided such that it overframes the <br /> roof frame system in question. The detail provided in Building Section A <br /> 9 3200 Cedar Street indicates that clips are to be provided between the two roof systems. It does <br /> Everett,WA 98201 not clarify how a cantilevered condition is being achieved such as a minimum <br /> gap or other means of achieving a cantilevered truss design that demonstrates <br /> 0 425.257.8810 that the collar tie roof framing is not receiving additional load from the <br /> 425 257.8857 fax <br /> overframed trusses or its design loads. Please clarify.
