J .E.M. FIX Inc.
SPECIAL EFFECTS DESIGN&
FABRICA TIDN
24932 Avenue Kearny Suite#3
Valencia, CA 91355
(661) 702-1319 Office
(661) 702-0908 Fax
The following shall further define flame effects equipment and engineering services provided by
J.E.M. F/X Inc. to PROFESSIONAL BULL RIDERSāPBR Tour. This equipment has been designed&
engineered for safe and reliable use in the arenas and in close proximity to performers and audience.
Similar portable effects of this size and larger have been provided by our firm to the industry for several
years and have successfully been trooped worldwide. These flame effects have always preformed, operated
safely and without incident. All aspects for flame effects mounting and operation have been reviewed
during the design phase of this project and their descriptions provided below.
Equipment Description
There are a total of four individual flame effects that are to operate during the performance. Each flame
burner shall have one electronic ignition source and an individual LP rated gas solenoid valve fed by a hose
and electrical control umbilical cable. Operation of the flame system relies on the effects technician to
enable the"arm switch"that is assigned to the channel or channels in which are chosen for operation. The
effects technician shall wait for ignition confirmation from the Honeywell Flame Safeguard Controller and
then fire the effect with the pickle or electrical dead man buttons. If the effects technician chooses to
disable or abort the flame effect operation at anytime he may do so by depressing the E-Stop button
(located on the main control panel, described below). The E-Stop button is a main power cut-off for the
entire flame control system and there is NO by pass to the system so any over ride of the system is
prohibited.
The following shall better describe each of the individual effects and there specifications;
*(2)Bullhead will be mounted on the chute gates and or(2)jet cube burners will be positioned and fired
individually on either side of the alley way.The flame heads are capable of generating columns of flame
one to twenty feet in height by one foot in diameter or flame balls two to five foot in diameter and rising up
fifteen feet in height(Depending on clearance to personal and combustibles). The effects technician can
control variations between the two different looks by depressing the fire enable button for longer or shorter
length in time.
*(2)Seven foot line burners will be positioned in the arena in front of the chutes. One on each side of the
alley way entrance. Each line burner will be controlled by the pyrotechnic i an..The flame height is
adjustable from four to six feet and will be set based on the safety factors as judged by the authority having
jurisdiction and the pyrotechnic crew chief. The maximum burn time will be ten seconds and will also be
controlled by the pyrotechnician based on safety factors.
(1) Portable gas storage accumulator,with(4)gas rated solenoids, for distributing gas feed to all
remotely mounted flame cubes, bullheads or line burners. The accumulator shall need(2)201b. LP
gas bottles each for filling of propane vapor.System gas pressure for filling of accumulator shall
be controlled by use of LP rated solenoids interlocked with UL listed gas pressure switch.
(1) Main electronic control for operator interface to all devices in flam system.
'"Vol used on ever show
