r IP
ilt
li
ECEOVE1
Am hi
March 21, 2024 MAR 21 2024
Cal Bearman, P.E. CITY OF EVERETT
Associate Engineer/ Building Plans Examiner Permit Services
cbearman(aeverettwa.gov
RE: 2810 Colby LLC
2810 Colby Avenue
B2402-035
Cal,
The following is in response to your undated letter to Clint Johnson regarding this project.
Please note that we have revised the western portion of the plan. These revisions involved moving the
office to the utility room location and enlarging the storage room by removing the office.
General:
After some back and forth, we agree with the A-2 occupancy designation. The plans have been
updated to reflect this. I am calling for the building to be Type VB construction.
Fire Protection:
A fire extinguisher has been added in the hallway between the two restroom doors. The note reference
has also been corrected.
Egress:
A maximum occupant load sign has been added on the south side of the main entry on the east side of
the building.
Door 104A is proposed to be replaced with a new door that swings in the direction of travel. Panic
hardware has also been incorporated with this door. Door 106A (main entry door) is proposed to have
the proper sign installed (door to remain unlocked...) so that panic hardware is not required.
The responses above along with the resubmitted drawings are anticipated to be adequate for review
and approval of this permit. Should additional information or questions arise from this response please
let us know.
Sincerely,
/0?ti
Adam B.
