• • <br /> Rairdon's Rairdon's VW of Everetta0 ,- <br /> VW of Everett e: r P <br /> Buy Your Way 10633 Evergreen Way ._' <br /> Everett,WA 98204 <br /> JUL U 1 2824 , <br /> 6/19/24 CITY OF EVERETT <br /> City Services <br /> of Everett <br /> Public Works Department <br /> 3200 Cedar Street <br /> Everett,WA 98201 <br /> RE: Permits B2405-019&B2405-020 1st Response <br /> Dear Benjamin Monk, <br /> In response to your Commercial Building Permit Intake Review Letter dated 5/9/24 we have taken the <br /> following actions to correct the concerns comments mentioned in your letter. <br /> 1) We partnered with Quantum Consulting Engineers to create a structural design that addresses <br /> seismic zone SDC D per 2021 IBC section 1601.These plans include all structural calculations, <br /> footing specifications, required concrete thicknesses,fastening devices and anchoring. <br /> 2) We have completed the City of Everett Permit Services Summary of Required IBC Special <br /> Inspections form per 2021 IBC section 1701.We contracted with MR Testing and Inspection, Inc <br /> to perform the special inspection. <br /> 3) The contractor Vehicle Equipment Solutions has reviewed and acknowledged the structural <br /> design and has provided a letter confirming the installation requirements and the need to work in <br /> conjunction with MR Testing and Inspection. <br /> Summary of Plan Revisions: <br /> 1) Permit#B2405-019: New 5'w x 5'l x 10"d concrete footings anchored into the existing slab will be <br /> installed by per the design plans for the two(2) Rotary SPAO10 two post vehicle lifts.These are to <br /> be anchored with Hilti HIT-RE 500 V3 epoxy set using HAS-V-36(ASTM F1554 Gr.36)3/a"x 8" <br /> threaded rods embedded 6"deep. <br /> 2) Permit#B2405-020:The Hunter RX1 OK scissor lift does not require concrete modifications as the <br /> existing 4"deep concrete will accommodate the Hilti Kwik Bolt TZ2 expansion anchors specified <br /> in the structural design and embedded 3-1/4"deep per the manufacturer's instructions and <br /> general notes. <br /> We look forward to your response and please feel free to reach out with any questions or if additional <br /> information is needed. <br /> Best Regards, <br /> Brian Fisher <br /> bfisher@rairdon.com <br /> 425-760-3546 <br />
