Exhibit A <br />HCS-24-66-2440-198 <br />City of Everett <br />Page 6 of 15 <br />b. Title VIII of Civil Rights Act of 1968 (P.L. 90-284), as amended, Section <br />104(b) of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as <br />amended, and 24 CFR § 576.407(b), which, in part, requires the Agency <br />to implement the Project in a manner that affirmatively furthers fair <br />housing. The Agency shall: <br /> <br />1) Affirmatively market Project assistance to eligible persons in a <br />manner that does not discriminate against persons on the basis of <br />race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, or national origin; <br /> <br />2) Provide all applicants and participants with information on rights and <br />remedies available under applicable federal, State, and local fair <br />housing and civil rights laws; and <br /> <br />3) Take reasonable steps to ensure meaningful access to assistance <br />provided by the Project for limited English proficiency (LEP) persons, <br />consistent with Title VI and Executive Order 13166. <br /> <br />c. Section 109 of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act <br />of 1974 (42 U.S.C. §§ 5304(b) and 5309), as amended, and 24 CFR part <br />6 (Non-Discrimination in Programs and Activities Receiving Assistance <br />Under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974), <br />as amended; <br /> <br />d. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. § 794), as <br />amended, and 24 CFR part 8, as amended; <br /> <br />e. The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. § 12101 et seq.), <br />as amended; <br /> <br />f. The Age Discrimination Act of 1975 (42 U.S.C. § 6101 et seq.), as <br />amended; and <br /> <br />g. Executive Order No. 11063, as amended by Executive Order 12259, and <br />24 CFR part 107 (Equal Opportunity in Housing), as amended. <br /> <br />3. Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity <br /> <br />The Agency agrees that it will assist and cooperate actively with the County, <br />HUD, and the Secretary of Labor in obtaining the compliance of the Agency <br />and subagencies with the statutes and laws referred to in this Section and <br />the rules, regulations, and relevant orders of the Secretary of Labor; that it <br />will furnish the County, HUD, and the Secretary of Labor such information <br />as they may require for the supervision of such compliance; and that it will <br />otherwise assist the County, HUD, and the Department of Labor in the <br />discharge of the Department of Labor’s primary responsibility for securing
