<br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4065-25 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE establishing rates for Everett sewer service and surface water management, rates for <br />water and filtration for inside and outside City customers, rates for wholesale master meters , and <br />rates pertaining to special fees and charges. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />A. EMC 14.04.020 (as adopted under Ordinance 3793-21) was amended by Ordinance 3909-22 effective <br />January 1, 2023, establishing current sewer rates. <br /> <br />B. EMC 14.60.010 (as adopted under Ordinance 3793-21) was amended by Ordinance 3909-22 effective <br />January 1, 2023, establishing current surface water management rates. <br /> <br />C. EMC 14.16.713 (as adopted under Ordinance 3793-21) was amended by Ordinance 3909-22 effective <br />January 1, 2023, establishing current water and filtration rates for Everett water customers. <br /> <br />D. The 2024 cost of service study has been completed by HDR Engineering, Inc. <br /> <br />E. To cover the cost of service, a general rate increase is necessary to cover operations, maintenance, <br />and capital expenditures. <br /> <br />F. The City Council finds that the rates and charges herein are reasonable. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Everett does ordain: <br /> <br />Section 1: Effective February 1, 2025, service charges for the City of Everett sewer system are hereby fixed as <br />follows: <br />Sewer Charges 2025 2026 2027 <br />2028 and thereafter <br />until superseded by a <br />new rate ordinance <br />Single Family Residence per month $104.04 $118.49 $132.70 $148.14 <br /> <br />Other than Single Family Residence <br />Base Monthly Charge $104.04 $118.49 $132.70 $148.14 <br />Monthly Charge Added to Base Monthly <br />Charge per CCF of Metered Water <br />Consumption in Excess of 9 CCF <br />$11.56 $13.17 $14.75 $16.47 <br />Septage Volume Fees (per gallon of <br />discharge) $0.33 $0.38 $0.43 $0.48 <br /> <br />The monthly charges in the table above include Surface Water Quality Protection and Enhancement and the <br />current state utility tax. <br />
