The property acquisition for the project is funded in <br />part by a grant from the Washington Department of Ecology. <br />Project summary statement: <br />A vacant property located at 1st and Lenora was identified as a potential site for <br />stormwater facilities as part of the Lexington-Broadway Stormwater Improvements <br />project in 2022. After site investigation and due diligence, the City began negotiations to <br />purchase the property and reached an agreement that is memorialized in the attached <br />Purchase and Sale Agreement. The effective date of the Purchase and Sale Agreement is <br />upon execution by both parties. Per the agreement, the Mayor may sign to establish the <br />effective date and the closing of the transaction is subject to City Council approval and <br />authorization of the sale. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Approve the Purchase and Sale Agreement and authorization of the Purchase of <br />Property at 1st and Lenora for the Lexington-Broadway Stormwater Improvements <br />Project. <br />
