S ' a • ORDINATCE i o . 1918. 1 An Ordinance providing for the improvement of Victor Place 2 from the east line of Pine Street to the west line of `.!alnut Street 3 by slagging; creating an assessment district ; creating a local 4 improvement district fund therefor; and providing that payment for 5 said improvement be made by special assessment on the property in 6 said district by the mode of "Immediate Payment" . 7 Whereas, a majority petition of the property owners petition 8 for said improvement has heretofor been filed with the Commissioner 9 of Public Works, and said Commissioner has found the things set 10 forth in said petition to be true, and 11 Whereas, said Commissioner of Public Works has filed with the 12 City Council all data and information in regard to said improvement , 13 as required by law, and 14 Whereas, said Commissioner of Public Works has recommended to 15 the City Council that said improvement petitioned for be made, and 16 it appearing to the City Council that public convenience and nec- 17 essity requires such improvement to be made, now therefore 18 19 CITY EVERETT DOES TEE OP ORDAIN: 20 21 Section 1 : That Victor Place from the east line of Pine Street 22 to the west line of Walnut Street be improved by slagging according 23 to the plans and specifications prepared under the direction of the 24 City Engineer, which plans and specifications are hereby adopted and 25 approved. 26 Section 2 : That the cost and expense of such improvement, in- 27 eluding all necessary incidental expenses shall be borne by and 28 assessed against the property included in the assessment district 29 herein created in accordance with law. The City of Everett shall no 30 be liable in any manner for any portion of the costs and expenses of 31 such improvement . -1-
