11 ORDINANCE NO. 1916 __ 1 An Ordinance proposing to the voters of the City of Everett , 2 Washington, that the City of Everett establish, construct , own, 3 maintain, manage and operate a Public Market with storage and cold 4 storage facilities, specifying and adopting a system or plan there- 5 for, declaring the estimated cost thereof as nearly as may be, pro- 6 viding for the payment thereof by the issuance of Serial Municipal 7 Market Revenue Fund Bonds of the City of Everett in the sum of 8 A60,000 , providing for the payment of said bonds out of a sinking 9 fund to be created as provided by statute and providing for the 10 holding of an election at which the qualified voters of the City of 11 Everett may vote for, or against said proposition. 12 Whereas, it is deemed advisable by the City Council of the City 13 of Everett , that said City shall construct, own, maintain, manage, 14 and operate a Public Market in accordance with the laws of the State 15 of Washington, now therefore 16 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 17 18 Section 1 : That public interest and welfare require that the 19 City of Everett construct , own, manage, maintain and operate a 20 Public Market within the City of Everett for the sale of butter, 21 eggs, meats, fish, fruits, vegetables and other perishable provis- 22 ions, and to provide in connection with said Public Market for any 23 and all storage and cold storage facilities deemed necessary, 24 Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Everett hereby 25 specifies and adopts the system or plan hereinafter proposed for the 26 construction, owning, managing, maintaining and operating of 27 Public '.Market as follows, to-wit : 28 That the City of Everett shall establish, construct , own, main- 29 taro, manage and operate a Public Market upon premises owned by said 30 ` 31 City in Block 664, Plc ' of Everett , Snohomish County, State of -1-
