• 7 • • ORDINANCE NO. 1914 1 2 An Ordinance providing for the improvement of Baker Avenue from 3 the curb line on the south side of 23rd Street to the curb line on 4 the south side of 25th Street , by grading, paving, and the installa- 5 tion of concrete curbs; and between 23rd Street and 24th Street , by 6 the installation of water main, and by doing all such other work, in 7 connection therewith, as is necessary to make a complete improvement, 8 all in accordance with the plans of the City Engineer, repealing Ord- 9 inance No . 1869, creating an assessment district , creating a Local 10 Improvement District Fund therefor, providing for payment of said 11 improvement, by special assessment on the property in said District, 12 under the mode of payment by bonds; 13 Whereas, a majority petition of the property owners on Baker 14 Avenue, between 23rd and 25th Streets has heretofor been filing with 15 the Commissioner of Public Works , petitioning for the above describe 16 improvement , and 17 Whereas, after due hearing thereon it appears to the City Coun- 18 cil that Public convenience requires that said improvement be made, 19 now therefore, 20 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 21 22 Section 1 : That Baker Avenue, from the curb line at the south 23 side of 23rd Street to the curb line at the south side of 25th Stree ' , 24 be improved by grading to proper grade, installation of concrete 25 curbs,paving, and that said street, from the curb line at the south 26 side of 23rd Street to the curb line at the south side of 24th scree• 27 be further improved by the installation of water main, and by doing 28 all such other work, on said street, as is necessary to make a corn- 29 plete improvement, all in accordance with the plans of the City 30 Mngineer and the specifications therefor,now on file, which said 31 plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved.
