1. a ' 1 ORDINANCE No . loll 1 An Ordinance authorizing and empowering the City Council and 2 Library Board of the City of Everett to make expenditures during 3 the fiscal year of 1920, for the support of the Library in the sum 4 of Fifty-six Hundred ( $5600.00) Dollars in excess of the revenues 5 provided for said year at the regular hearing thereon, providing 6 for the issuance of warrants in the sum of Fifty-six Hundred 7 ($5600.00) Dollars in payment of said expenditures, and authoriz- 8 ing and empowering the City Treasurer of the City of Everett to in- 9 vest said Library warrantee in any of the available sinking funds of 10 the City of Everett . 11 Whereas, at a special election held in the City of Everett , 12 Washington, on the 18th day of November, 1919 an ordinance was duly 13 and legally adopted by the qualified voters voting at said election, 14 the same being ordinance #1880 authorizing and empowering the City 15 Council and Library Board of the said City to make expenditures 16 during the fiscal year 1920 for the support of the Library in the 17 sum of Fifty-six Hundred ( $5600.00 ) Dollars in excess of the reven- 18 ues provided for said year at the regular hearing thereon for the 19 purpose of maintaining the efficiency and operation of the Public 20 Library in said City of Everett, now therefore 21 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 22 Section 1 : That the City Council and the Library Board be, an 23 they are hereby authorized and empowered to incur an indebtedness 24 and make expenditures, during the fiscal year of 1920, for the support 25 of the Library in any sum not to exceed Fifty-six Hundred ( $5600.00 ) 26 Dollars in excess of the revenues provided for said year,at the 27 regular hearing thereon, for the purpose of maintaining the opera- 28 tion and efficiency of the Public Library of said City for the year 29 1920. 30 '1
