It is true that I can not say that such a use will happen,just as true as the designer/builder stating that <br /> the situation will not happen. It falls on the building official to render interpretations and to clarity the application of the <br /> code provisions per Section R104.1.As such, I propose the following: <br /> 1. It should be stated on the plans that the flex spaces are not sleeping rooms. <br /> 2. The flex spaces should be shown with smoke detectors installed. <br /> 3. The flex spaces should be shown with carbon monoxide detectors installed. <br /> 4.
