The proposed work includes suspended equipment exceeding 2016s.This equipment requires independent support and seismic bracing. Note that Detail 2/M3.2 does not provide <br /> detailed requirements and only addresses suspension of the heat pumps;the fans also require support and bracing. Details should be included in the drawings.Calculations <br /> substantiating the design should be submitted for review.The design should comply with ASCE 7-16 Chapter 13.See IBC Section 1613.1. <br /> 2. The proposed work includes replacement of existing suspended units with new units,including but not limited to the heat pumps,that significantly exceed the weight of the existing units.The <br /> following commentr should be addressed: <br /> a. Calculations evaluating the strength of the stmcture supporting the units in addition to existing loads(e.g.,self-weight,snow,etc.,including but not limited to joists and supporting beams <br /> and columns,should be submitted for review.See IBC Section SfiO4.1 and 1604.4. <br /> b. Details for the installation of the units should be submitted for review. <br /> c.
