The project was completed at a total <br />cost of $681,419. All expenses for the project have been paid. The remaining balance of $36,581 <br />will be transferred back to CIP-3. <br /> <br />Project summary statement: <br />The current playground was added as a vital park amenity in 2002 and has since become one of <br />the most used and beloved playgrounds in the Delta Neighborhood. <br />This replacement and renovation project accomplished several goals by providing updated <br />playground equipment for pre-school and school-age children that meet or exceed current <br />industry standard, fulfilling our standard of providing accessible and inclusive recreational <br />facilities for users of all abilities complying with ADA standards, and providing new synthetic turf <br />playground surface with fall attenuating substrate. <br /> <br />All work was completed on time and within budget and to the full satisfaction of the Parks and <br />Facilities Department. <br /> <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Adopt an Ordinance closing a Special Improvement Project entitled, Wiggums Hollow Playground <br />Replacement, Fund 354, Program 081, as established by Ordinance No. 3951-23. <br />
