<br />________________________________________________________________________________________________________ <br /> Page 20 of 27 <br /> <br /> <br />Attachment A: Scope of Work <br />OVERVIEW <br />The actions, steps, and deliverables are split up based on the Washington State biennial budget <br />cycle. The first set of action items and deliverables (Grant Objective 1) aligns with the 2023- <br />2025 state fiscal biennium and includes work that will be performed and deliverables submitted <br />prior to June 30, 2025. <br />The second set of action items and deliverables (Grant Objectives 2 and 3) aligns with the 2025- <br />2027 state fiscal biennium and includes work that will be performed and deliverables submitted <br />prior to June 30, 2027. <br />The full scope of work was part of a competitive grant process and was awarded funds bases on <br />funding the entirety of the scope of work. <br />While there are multiple sources of funding for this project, the state budget is appropriated in a <br />biennial cycle and Commerce will work on extensions to this contract to include actions and <br />deliverables associated with Grant Objectives 2 and 3 in the scope of work prior to the expiration <br />of this contract. <br />GRANT OBJECTIVE 1: Review and update City of Everett policies, regulations, mitigation <br />framework, and administrative procedures related to protecting and restoring functions and <br />values of streams and wetlands, with a particular focus on salmon recovery. <br />Actions, Steps <br />& Deliverables Description Start Date End Date <br />Action 1 Collect and synthesize documented best available <br />science, salmon recovery planning documents, and <br />best practices, recommendations, and guidance for <br />stream and wetland protection and restoration and <br />salmon recovery. <br />January 1, <br />2025 <br />February 28 <br />2025 <br />Step 1.1 Coordinate with state agencies (Commerce, <br />Ecology, Fish & Wildlife), tribal partners, WRIA <br />7 and 8 Salmon Recovery Forums, and Snohomish <br />County to collect relevant documented best <br />available science, salmon recovery planning <br />documents, and best practices, recommendations, <br />and guidance for stream and wetland protection <br />and restoration and salmon recovery. <br />January 1, <br />2025 <br />January 31, <br />2025 <br />Step 1.2 Synthesize the information collected in Step 1.1 <br />into a draft summary report. <br />January 1, <br />2025 <br />February 28, <br />2025 <br />Docusign Envelope ID: 59790314-4A8A-45DB-8130-00ABDE3419DF
